Who we are
Forward Engineer is a learning and certification company for Forward Deployed Engineering, built by the team behind the [Devopsify](https://www.devopsify.net) initiative. Devopsify is our engineering practice: it designs and operates delivery infrastructure for customers, and that field experience shapes the curriculum and the exam blueprints published here. Learning content and membership on this site are free. Planned sittings run Dec 2026 to Mar 2027 at 13:00 London time; booking opens after the live checkout is verified. The published assessment page carries the plan and the booking status.
What the site provides
- Public lessons, guides, practice tasks and a readiness quiz.
- Optional membership to save lesson progress and quiz results.
- Published self-review criteria and a proposed certification blueprint.
The self-study rubrics are not external evaluations. Example records are fictional and do not represent issued credentials. We make no employment, salary or accreditation claims.
Principles
- Independent. No employer or certification body speaks for us.
- Clear scope. Learning content is free. Exams run in supervised lab sessions on the published calendar; booking opens after the live checkout is verified.
- Separate assessment. Any future exam will not require buying a course from us.
- Evidence over claims. Content claims carry sources and review dates; fictional training cases are labeled as fictional.
About the team
Forward Engineer is built and operated by the Devopsify team (devopsify.net). The same engineers who design the curriculum also run production systems in real customer environments, which is the standard the certification plans are written against. This site publishes learning materials and proposed assessment plans; it does not claim that its members or learners hold externally validated credentials.
